We are looking for a Junior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our growing company! This position supports the Department of Veterans Affairs in Virginia. This position is a leading member of the organization and supports the VA’s program and leadership. The Junior Cybersecurity Engineer will provide IT and Cloud design, security, development and systems engineering. Duties and Responsibilities:
Experience in cybersecurity engineering requirements and authorizations (FedRAMP/RMF) into systems and applications.
Experience in IT and Cloud design, security, development, systems engineering, and implementation efforts.
Experience in large-scale Cloud solutions in federal and/or commercial industry.
Experience in Risk Assessment
Experience with Federal A&A and ATO activities.
Experience in Federal policies, processes, and standards.
Requirements:
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
US Citizen
Core duty hours are Monday through Friday 6:30 am to 6:30 pm – and on call for emergency issues.
Must have either an Associates or a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Information Security, Information Resource Management, or related fields.
2 years of Information Security Experience of which at least 1 year are of Cybersecurity and Cloud Security experience an agency similar in size to GSA, IRS, DoD or VA.
DoD 8570-01.M IAT Level I, IAM I or IASAE I
1 Baseline, 1 Compute Environment Certifications and 1 Service Management Certifications. Examples include CompTIA Security+ CE for baseline certifications and one of the following: CompTIA: ITF+, A+ CE, Network+ CE, Microsoft: Microsoft M365 Fundamentals, Windows OS Fundamentals, HDI: Desktop Support Technician or Support Center Analyst compute environment certifications.
