We are looking for an Army IT Operations Manager to join our growing company! This position supports the Army Network Operations Center (NOC) at APG, MD. This position is a leading member of the organization and supports the NOC program and leadership. The Operations Manager applies government instituted processes for documentation, change control management and data management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Will serve as a key leader for purposes of managing and coordinating NOC operations and maintenance.
On call position, responsible for coordinating all NOC operational emergencies and mission demands.
Reports directly to Government leadership for routine and other time-sensitive communication requirements specific to NOC operations.
Is the first-line supervisors of all operations and helpdesk support staff in the NOC.
Represents the contractor in Government leadership forums as the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for NOC operations.
Will have domain expertise in Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and network system operations, helpdesk coordination, expeditionary military network operations, Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning, facilities and cybersecurity, and project management.
In coordination with the Project Manager, the Chief Engineer and Government staff, recommend and develop executable plans to manage the evolution of the NOC infrastructure and support staff posture, to address infrastructure obsolescence, and evolving capability and support requirements.
Represent NOC Operations at the Network Configuration Control Board engagements.
Serve as liaisons with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Continental United States (CONUS) Theater Network Operations and Security Center (CTNOSC) and local Network Enterprise Center (NEC) for system status reporting and local and long haul information service requirements, as listed in SOPs.
Provide support to coordination of facility operations and maintenance to include analysis and planning of facility refresh and upgrades to meet operational, safety and security requirements. Coordinate with government facilities managers and support contractors.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) from an accredited college or university in Business, Accounting, Project Management, Operations Management, or Engineering.
At least 10 years of progressive experience in managing technical projects in a military hardware/software development environment.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in addition to the above may be substituted for the education/degree requirement.
Minimum of at least 1 year of military communication or C2 domain experience.
