We are looking for a Statistician to join our growing company! This role will support the US Department of Education Office of Finance and Operations, Office of Enterprise Data Analytics and Risk Management (OEDARM) Enterprise Data Analytics Risk Management Services and Tools (EDARMST). Edison is the OEDARM’s suite of digital tools. The government requires user, password, role, and incident management; daily monitoring of data feeds; and monthly controls testing to support FISMA compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Designing project plans for data gathering and analysis.
  • Conducting data collection, including surveys and focus groups.
  • Conducting data analyses and research, including developing mythologies for advanced analysis.
  • Including predictive analytics and natural language processing.
  • Interpreting the results of data analyses and research, including identifying trends and
  • recommending next steps.
  • Developing data visualizations and dashboard to present analytical findings in tools, including but not limited to, PowerBI and Excel.
  • Demonstrate and apply knowledge of a variety of statistical techniques.
  • Develop and maintain statistical analysis programs for databases.
  • Assess the adequacy and quality of data used in the analysis.
  • Prepare an explanation of the methodologies, results, and relevance of issues and problems under study.
  • Disseminate results of research projects in a wide range of venues.
  • Develop and implement the full survey lifecycle.
Requirements:
  • Has a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operational Research, or related field
  • 5 or more years working on Statistical Projects or Mathematical Studies
  • Background Investigation Required
