We are looking for a Data Scientistto join our growing company! This role will support the US Department of Education Office of Finance and Operations, Office of Enterprise Data Analytics and Risk Management (OEDARM) Enterprise Data Analytics Risk Management Services and Tools (EDARMST). Edison is the OEDARM’s suite of digital tools. The government requires user, password, role, and incident management; daily monitoring of data feeds; and monthly controls testing to support FISMA compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide training, expert capacity building services, and learning materials on key aspects of our analytics and operational work, which may include:
All aspects of the data analytics life cycle.
Advanced statistical and analytics techniques.
Visualizing data and developing dashboard.
Development and monitoring key performance indicators and key risk indicators.
Developing and executing operational research and analysis.
Identifying business intelligence insights.
Identifying, monitoring, and managing enterprise risks.
Beginner, intermediate, and advanced level support in using Excel and PowerBI.
Identifying and measuring indicators of operational health and enterprise risk management.
Survey design and the various survey platform software and applications.
Data analysis, statistics, data visualization.
Managing data analytics projects.
Excel and Power BI.
Business Intelligence, Operational Research and Analysis, and Enterprise Risk Management
Knowledge and skills in analytical problem solving, data analytics, analysis tools (e.g., Esri, Power BI), and programming (e.g., Python, VBA, SQL, R, SAS)
Knowledge of mathematical techniques to understand and interpret data
Knowledge of computational or programming techniques to create reusable and scalable solutions and interaction or visualization techniques to enable clarity in interpreting data and making decisions
Has a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operational Research, or related field
5 or more years working on big data projects, data analytics, AI, machine learning or other data manipulation techniques
