Senior Acquisition Specialist

RSC2 is currently looking for a Senior Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team in El Segundo, California!   

Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for Information management to include but not limited to developing, facilitating, updating and/or cording briefings, tasks, reports, media queries, public releases, and special projects. 

  • Provide subject matter expertise for routine business operations. 

  • Demonstrate expertise regarding compliance with use of software tools, organizational policies, and procedures.  

  • Assist in database maintenance; develop, document, modify, transition to, and maintain standard functional databases to support mission requirements. 

  • Review documents for consistency with regulations, policies, publications, directives, instructions, executive orders, codes, requirements, and/or standards, and report findings appropriately.  

  • Provide recommendations on report discrepancies, deliverables, or services to maximize the ability for the organization to make knowledgeable decisions. 

  • Travel and participate in regular and impromptu meetings and add value. 

  • Identify and distribute the purpose and objective as defined by the meeting principal to key attendees in advance via Microsoft Calendar.  

  • Develop and update training materials, which will be presented to workforce.  

  • Archive and electronically back up all products for immediate accessibility on approved server(s). Electronically archive any existing hard-copy information pertinent to requirement execution and maintenance of historical records.  

  • Provide on-the-job training to personnel focused on functional disciplines. Develop or update training materials for the processes, standards, tools, and products in order to train the affected workforce in the appropriate use of products generated.  

  • Measure the effectiveness of the training and provide a summary within 90 calendar days of training completion. 

  • Prepare and complete acquisition related documents, provide recommendations for streamlining and improving processes. Provide detailed analysis, supporting documentation for research, reviews, and assessments performed.  

  • Provide information, analysis, recommendations for the effective alignment of portfolio acquisitions, manpower, and funding for the management and integration of the portfolio.  

  • Evaluate acquisition documentation for adherence to policy and guidance. 

  • Monitor program baselines and the associated schedule. Recommend options for handling changes that impact program performance.  

  • Support strategic planning efforts by providing engineering, technical, architecture, and acquisition support, and how decisions impact the Directorate Strategic Plan. 

  • Provide subject matter expertise with the development of strategic long-range planning.  

  • Research, draft, and edit articles, speeches, testimony, position papers, and formal reports on the Directorate, organizing missions, operations, and initiatives as necessary or as directed. 

  • Review documents for consistency with regulations, policies, publications, directives, instructions, executive orders, codes, requirements, and/or standards and report findings appropriately.  

Qualifications/Requirements:  

  • Active Secret Clearance  

  • Experience: 

  • 10 years of relevant experience required.

Salary at RSC2 is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $170,000 to $283,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical total compensation range for this position.   This position is contingent upon contract award and government funding.
