Job Description: The Contract Acquisition Support Specialist will be responsible for supporting our DoD customer in authoring, preparing, and coordinating a variety of contract support actions, primarily in the preparing and writing of Acquisition Requirements Packages (ARPs). The successful candidate will have experience supporting a DoD or Army Program Management or Product Management Office in the preparation and coordination of ARPs for military systems. This candidate will possess knowledge of the Aberdeen Proving Ground Acquisition Center (ACC) mission and standard operating procedures. This candidate will work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and functional/technical experts in the identification of contract support requirements, and the writing, review, coordination, and approval of final packages.
Highly organized with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Army Program Management Office (PMO) experience.
Knowledge of multiple contract types (T&M, FFP, Cost Plus).
Understanding of the DoD Acquisition Process.
Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS).
Statement of Work (SOW) & Performance Work Statements (PWS).
Performing market research & analyzing market research results.
Theater Business Clearances.
Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASPs).
Within Scope Memorandums.
ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree plus minimum five (5) years related experience.
10 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for education.
Less than 10% travel is expected for this position.
