Force Protection Systems Operations Lead

We are looking for a Operations Lead to join our growing company! This position supports the Product Manager Force Protection Systems (PM FPS) at Ft. Belvoir, VA. This position is a leading member of the organization and supports the RS3’s program and leadership. Serves as the senior operations analyst and staff operations advisor to the PM FPS Operations Manager, Product Manager, and Assistant Product Manager.  Assists in coordination and execution of product office operational activities including, but not limited to, tasker tracking; documentation review, staffing and tracking; high level product office briefings development; product office organizational structure advise; CONUS and OCONUS requirements and system status coordination; planning, organizing, and executing office functions and meetings; management of operations staff personnel, etc.   

 

Duties: 

  • Organizes, plans, directs, staffs, and coordinates the overall program effort; manages contract and subcontract activities as the authorized interface with the Contracting Officer, Government management personnel, and customer agency representatives; ensures compliance with Federal rules and regulations. 

  • Utilizes effective communications skills with all levels of management. Establishes and alters (as necessary) management structure to effectively direct contract support activities. 

  • Meets and confers with technical personnel regarding the status of specific contractor activities and problems, issues, or conflicts requiring resolution. 

  • Negotiates effectively binding decisions for the company. 

  • Manges task and supervises personnel. Ensures that the team provides current information and information is accurate and directly related to subject matter.  

  • Trains, mentors, and coaches personnel to ensure their knowledge, skills, and abilities are thorough and comprehensive. 

  • Understands and applies knowledge of the principles and methodologies associated with program management, contractor management, and financial management. 

  • Applies experience and knowledge in subcontractor management, quality assurance metrics and techniques, and configuration management tools. 

  • Ensures team and contract documentation is accurate, and complete with valid and supportable justification for recommended results. Transactions are accurately entered within scheduled timeframes. 

  • Ensures documents are professionally written, thorough, on schedule and represents valid information. 

  • Verifies and validates Information is current, accurate and directly related to subject matter. Technical experts are thorough and knowledgeable. 

  • Manages program deliverables ensuring input, documentation and reports are within required schedules; All ILS elements fully coordinated and documented. 

  • Works with the team to provide documentation to support fielding/defielding is complete and accurate. Addresses all aspects and assigns responsibilities to proper POCs; Conducted within schedule provided. All supportability issues are identified and addressed. 

  • Ensures documents are professionally written, IAW prevailing policy, on schedule and represent valid information. 

  • Manages lines of effort to stay within schedules and quality of work meet or exceed acceptable quality level. 

  • Provides recommendations for execution strategies is relevant and effective. Reports are accurate and complete. 

Requirements:  

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in program management, engineering, systems management, business management, computer sciences, information management, or a related discipline from an accredited college/university and five (5) years of applicable experience and five (5) years of program/operations management experience preferably in a DoD acquisition program office or similar organization.
  • Acquisition/Programmatic experience supporting PM FPS Programs of Record (PoR) and Quick Reaction Capabilites (QRC) programs/systems including Automated Installation Entry (AIE), Integrated Commercial Intrusion Detection System (ICIDS), Ground-Based Operational Surveillance System (Expeditionary) (G-BOSS(E)), Security Surveillance System (SSS), Base Expeditionary Targeting Surveillance Systems-Combined (BETSS-C), Entry Control Point (ECP), Non-Intrusive Inspection System (NIIS), Counter Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device (C-VBIED), Integrated Base Defense-Kitting (IBD-K), or Rapid Deployment Integrated Surveillance System (RDISS).
  • DoD Secret Clearance is required.    

  • Must be a US Citizen
