We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our growing company! For Project Manager Electronic Warfare & Cyber; the Network Engineer understands performance of network services from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks. The Network Engineer will coordinate Communications and Networking requirements with multiple program offices and manage a multi-disciplinary stakeholder IPT. This individual will plan the development and delivery of communications and networking requirements for the full QRC/POR life-cycle.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers
Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols
Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems
Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection
Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources
Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization
Has thorough knowledge of general Local Area Network (LAN)/Campus Area Network (CAN)/ Wide Area Network (WAN) administration.
Coordinates with all responsible users and sites to resolve network or system incidents.
Translates business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, CAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, designs and orders.
Performs engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives in support of strategic modernization efforts and telecommunications enhancement design for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructures.
Assists telecommunications end users, telecommunications operations personnel, and telecommunications strategic program management with network interfaces.
Analyzes design, specifications, and related documents.
Requirements:
